Jesus Died & Rose So You Could Live

JOHN 3:16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

WHAT IS THE GOSPEL?

THE GOSPEL PT.1

God sent his ONLY son, Jesus Christ to die on the cross and resurrect from the dead to SAVE us from our SINS.

We were SINNERS and we were condemned.

WE DESERVED DEATH.

Because of HIS SACRIFICE we no longer have to live a life

in BONDAGE to sin. We can live a life of holiness, have

ETERNAL LIFE and live forever in the presence of God

Romans 6 :22-23 NIV

“But now that you have been set free from sin and have become slaves of God, the benefit you reap leads to holiness, and the result is eternal life. For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord”

1 PETER 2:21-25

“For to this you were called, because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that you should follow His steps: “Who committed no sin,
Nor was deceit found in His mouth”; who, when He was reviled, did not revile in return; when He suffered, He did not threaten, but committed Himself to Him who judges righteously; who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness—by whose stripes you were healed. For you were like sheep going astray, but have now returned to the Shepherd and Overseer of your souls.

THE GOSPEL PT. 2

The other side of this Gospel message, which unfortunately isn’t talked about enough, is that those who choose to REJECT this beautiful and free gift of salvation and relationship with Christ, NOW HAVE TO PAY THE PRICE. They have to pay the price of something that was ALREADY paid for. That price, is DEATH.

Spiritual death while alive on this earth and eternal death

afterwards. Just as you can receive ETERNAL LIFE

which is never ending, there is also ETERNAL DEATH

that is never ending.

Those who decide to live a life of sin and REJECT CHRIST and a relationship with him will be sent to HELL for ETERNAL PUNISHMENT and

TORMENT. Hell is very real and no one should desire to go there.

1 Corinthians 6:9-11

“ Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites,  nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God. And such were some of you. But you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus and by the Spirit of our God.”

HOW TO BE SAVED?

ACKNOWLEDGE THAT YOU ARE A SINNER THAT NEEDS A SAVIOR

The Bible teaches that ALL people have sinned and fallen short of God’s perfect standard. Sin is not just the “big mistakes” — it’s every thought, word, and action that falls short of God’s holiness. The first step toward salvation is honesty and repentance: admitting that you cannot save yourself and that you need God’s forgiveness.

2 Corinthians 5:17 “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!”

BELIEVE AND RECIEVE

Salvation comes not by works, effort, or trying harder — it comes through faith in Jesus Christ. Jesus, lived a sinless life, died on the cross for our sins, and rose from the dead to conquer sin and death. When we believe in Him and receive Him personally, our sins are forgiven, and we are made right with God.

How to believe and receive:

    •    Acknowledge your need for Jesus and Repent

    •    Believe that He died for you and rose again.

    •    Invite Him into your life personally.

Romans 10:9–10: “If you declare with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord,’ and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.”

BECOME A DISCIPLE

Believing in Jesus is the beginning — salvation starts a lifelong journey of following Him. To become a disciple means to learn from Jesus, obey His teachings, live consecrated and set apart, and grow in your relationship with Him every day. Discipleship is about transformation, not just information — it’s living a life that reflects His love, grace, and truth.

Practical steps for discipleship:

    •    Read the Bible regularly to understand God’s ways.

    •    Pray, fast and communicate with God.

    •    Join a community of believers for encouragement and accountability.

Luke 9:23: “Then He said to them all: ‘Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross daily and follow me.’”

Colossians 2:6–7: “So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live your lives in Him, rooted and built up in Him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness.”

1 Corinthians 10:21 “You cannot drink the cup of the Lord and the cup of demons too; you cannot have a part in both the Lord’s table and the table of demons. Are we trying to arouse the Lord’s jealousy? Are we stronger than he?”

PRAYER OF SALVATION

Heavenly Father, I come to You in the Name of Jesus. Your Word says,

"Whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord

shall be saved" (Acts 2:21).

I am calling on You. I ask you Lord Jesus to come into my life and be Lord over my life according to

Romans 10:9-10.

"If thou shalt confess with thy

mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that

God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved."

I confess that you are Lord, and I believe in my heart that you died for my sins and you rose again. I confess that I am a sinner that needs saving. I receive what you did for me on the cross and I ask you to forgive me for all of the sins that I have committed. Cleanse me from my sins and fill me with your Holy Spirit that empowers me on this continuous journey of faith. My past is now erased and I am a new creation. From this day forward, I dedicate my life to you. In Jesus Name, Amen.
