Let Your Light Shine

Share your testimony! Share your story! Share your gift! Share your talent! Speak what God is calling you to speak! Write what God is calling you to write! Create what God is calling you to create! This is not the time to shrink back in fear!

God has placed so many gifts and talents in you. Don’t fear what people say or think. You are not unqualified. Don’t be ashamed of your story and testimony. Some of you keep hiding because you think you’re not the best and that there are other people that are doing it better. Even though other people are doing the same thing, NO ONE can do it like you. You are unique. God has created us to be unique and to be different.

1 Corinthians 12:4- 7 NLT

“There are different kinds of spiritual gifts, but the same Spirit is the source of them all. There are different kinds of service, but we serve the same Lord. 6 God works in different ways, but it is the same God who does the work in all of us. A spiritual gift is given to each of us so we can help each other.”

1 Corinthians 12:14-27 NLT

“Yes, the body has many different parts, not just one part. If the foot says, “I am not a part of the body because I am not a hand,” that does not make it any less a part of the body. And if the ear says, “I am not part of the body because I am not an eye,” would that make it any less a part of the body? If the whole body were an eye, how would you hear? Or if your whole body were an ear, how would you smell anything? But our bodies have many parts, and God has put each part just where he wants it. How strange a body would be if it had only one part! Yes, there are many parts, but only one body. The eye can never say to the hand, “I don’t need you.” The head can’t say to the feet, “I don’t need you.” In fact, some parts of the body that seem weakest and least important are actually the most necessary. And the parts we regard as less honorable are those we clothe with the greatest care. So we carefully protect those parts that should not be seen, while the more honorable parts do not require this special care. So God has put the body together such that extra honor and care are given to those parts that have less dignity. This makes for harmony among the members, so that all the members care for each other. If one part suffers, all the parts suffer with it, and if one part is honored, all the parts are glad. All of you together are Christ’s body, and each of you is a part of it.”

Every part of the body is needed! Your gift is needed for the body of Christ and also for those who don’t know the Lord. So don’t ever think that what God has called you to do is small and that it doesn’t matter or that you’re not going to make a difference. Souls are at stake. People’s salvation or healing is dependent on your obedience. You are the Lord’s handiwork and He desires to use you for His glory.

Ephesians 2:10 AMPC

“For we are God's [own] handiwork (His workmanship), recreated in Christ Jesus, [born anew] that we may do those good works which God predestined (planned beforehand) for us [taking paths which He prepared ahead of time], that we should walk in them [living the good life which He prearranged and made ready for us to live].”

Before you were even born, God had plans and good works that he had called you to do.

You were called for such a time as this! Be strong and courageous. The Lord is with you. Don’t let the gift that God has graciously given you go to waste. Show Him that you value what He’s entrusted to you.

Joshua 1:9

“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.”

Matthew 5:14-16

“You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.”
