Run to the Father!
The Lord is your refuge in the time of trouble.
Many times when we are going through tough times, instead of immediately running to God we run to others to find escape and comfort or pleasure. We run to things that are not fulfilling and these things that we run to lead to spiritual death.
The Lord desires for us to run to Him! The Lord is our refuge:
Psalms 46:1 TPT
“God, you’re such a safe and powerful place to find refuge! You’re a proven help in time of trouble— more than enough and always available whenever I need you.”
He is always available and always ready to receive us. He’s not like people. We can go run and vent to people and they get tired of us. The Lord never gets tired of us and He can handle what we are dealing with.
Isaiah 40:28-31 TPT
“Don’t you know? Haven’t you been listening? Yahweh is the one and only everlasting God, the Creator of all you can see and imagine! He never gets weary or worn out. His intelligence is unlimited; he is never puzzled over what to do! He empowers the feeble and infuses the powerless with increasing strength. Even young people faint and get exhausted; athletic ones may stumble and fall. But those who entwine their hearts with Yahweh will experience divine strength. They will rise up on soaring wings and fly like eagles, run their races without growing weary, and walk through life without giving up.”
He’s also not confused. He has all the answers. He is the one that will give you divine wisdom and strength.
So I want to encourage you all, to take time to go to the secret place. That is where healing, deliverance and strength is found. In his presence you will receive peace and rest. Take your focus off the storm around you and set your gaze on Christ. He will not allow you to drown and He will deliver you and surely come to your rescue.
Isaiah 43:2 TPT
“When you pass through the deep, stormy sea, you can count on me to be there with you. When you pass through raging rivers, you will not drown. When you walk through persecution like fiery flames, you will not be burned; the flames will not harm you,”
Psalms 34:17-19 NLT
“The Lord hears his people when they call to him for help. He rescues them from all their troubles. The Lord is close to the brokenhearted; he rescues those whose spirits are crushed. The righteous person faces many troubles, but the Lord comes to the rescue each time.”
He is your firm foundation. He won’t fail you. Put your hope in Him. Trust Him and run to Him.
